I’m Amy, creator of Clear Chart Studio.

That’s the heart behind Clear Chart Studio.
I’m a lifelong musician with a love for Rock and Roll and a degree in Classical Voice. My work has taken me from opera stages to rock venues, from folk clubs in Seattle to Carnegie Hall. I’m a studio musician, writer, arranger, transcriber, coach and teacher. And I’ve spent over 20 years inside church music as both a worship leader and chart writer.
That range of experience shapes how I hear, organize and communicate music. I understand how bands function, how rehearsals flow, where things fall apart and what players need in the moment to feel confident and supported.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Q. How will I communicate everything I need for my charts?
We’ll set up a simple communication process that fits how you already plan. Most teams use a shared planning sheet I provide but I’m happy to work within your existing system, whether that’s a worship planning platform, email, or something else. You share what you need and I take it from there.
Q. How does weekly planning actually work?
Once we’re set up, the process becomes simple and predictable. You share your chart needs as you plan. I create your charts. You share them with your team. Then we do it again the next week.
Q. How long does it take to get a chart?
Most charts are turned around in 4-7 days for advance planning. Shorter times are often possible when needed.
Q. How do you make a chart that matches the version of the song we want to use? We can’t find one online.
All I need is a recording (MP3 or a link) and the song’s CCLI information - a reference chart of some kind is helpful but not necessary. Mostly by ear, I create a custom chart from scratch, using any notes you provide, in as many keys as you need for a Sunday service, including capo charts.
Q. Do you use AI to create your charts?
NO. Every chart is created by hand using my ears, knowledge of music theory and real band experience. These charts are built for how musicians actually read and play in rehearsal and onstage, something AI can’t replicate. Made for and by a real human musician.
Q. We have a big catalog of songs we sing at our church. Are you going to make new charts for them?
I create charts for the songs you’re actively planning to use. If you already have charts you like, you’re always welcome to keep using them. If you’d prefer a Clear Chart Studio version, I will create one.
Q. Can I share these charts with other churches? Can I use them for an event outside of our church?
These charts are created for use within your church and will be labeled with your churches CCLI license number. They are not intended for redistribution or usage outside of that organization.

Q. Will volunteers or less experienced players be able to follow these charts?
Yes! These charts are designed to be clear, intuitive and easy to follow so both seasoned musicians and newer players can stay together and feel confident.
No traditional music reading skills necessary.
Q. Do you only work with churches?
No. Most of my work is with worship teams but I also create charts for songwriters, band directors and educators who need charts for their groups.
Q. Do you chart original songs?
Yes. A simple recording or even a quick in-person or phone session is all I need to hear the song. From there, I can create a chart that helps bring your idea to life and makes it easy to invite others to play on your song. If you’d like to talk it through, please contact me!
Q. Can we make changes after a chart is created?
Absolutely. If something needs to be adjusted, I can update the chart so it continues to work for your team.
